America Hearts Go to Space in New Video for Heart

Stephanie Glass

America Hearts

These past three months folk-pop quartet America Hearts have been the brainchild and host behind a noteworthy event at The Black Cat called Singles Club. Bringing back the good old days when vinyl was plentiful, the group spent April, May and June putting out three singles and playing a monthly mini-release show with a rotating cast of DC bands to celebrate. Wednesday marks the final singles club for Country EP as the group is following their Manifest Destiny and embarking on a West Coast Tour. In honor of their last (for the time) singles club, guitarist Kristina Buddenhagen edited a series of clips from 1950s sci-fi film Conquest of Space and made a one-of-a-kind video for “Heart” that captures the unique spirit of the band.

America Hearts plays The Black Cat with Olivia & The Mates and The Mean Season this Wednesday at 8pm. For America Hearts' West Coast tour dates please visit their website.
