L’Orange presented the video for “Blame The Author” ft. the one & only Del The Funky Homosapien from the album The Ordinary Man available now from Mello Music Group. With visuals that were written & directed by Alexander Thompson & starring Harwood Gordon as The Magician; a Pinnochio story for the twenty-first century sets in motion where a creator’s unruly robot creation takes on a life, mission & mind of it’s own. What sounds & looks like a logical progression from the Deltron canon, L’Orange & Del together create a brilliant odyssey for the chaos & calamities of our times that questions the intents of both the maker & the made that break the molds of convention.

Alexander Thompson’s visuals takes you to an enchanted land with a sound scape engineered by L’Orange with your narrator Del The Funky Homosapien telling the tales of the inventor & their unruly inventions. “Blame The Author” is a cautionary Frankenstein-style tale that finds both Del & L’Orange tackling metaphors of our own post-apocalyptic feeling realities. Watching the creation turn on their creator, the collaborative effort offers a warning about how the concepts, choices & decisions of today can impact tomorrow.

L’Orange provided the following exclusive insights about the track & imaginative video for “Blame the Author”, working with Del & more:

“Blame The Author” stands out on the album to me for a few reasons. I’ve been a huge fan of Del’s music for a long time and it was a dream come true to work with him. On every one of my solo albums, I try to have an establishing song to create a baseline tone for the story. “Blame The Author” is an abstract approach to creating a magical feel to the album. The music video was incredible to watch unfold. The director, Alex Thompson is a genius and I’m very lucky to have been able to work with him again after last year’s collaboration on the song “Strange Technology”.
