On April 7th, singer Njomza is releasing her debut EP entitled Sad for You on Mac Miller’s Remember imprint, a 3-year-old collective of upcoming talent spanning the genres. Today, she released the second single from the project, the idyllic “Hear Me.”
In a world of constant boundary pushing, some amazing, some less so, sometimes it’s refreshing to hear a slice of unabashed, unrequited synth pop that hits the mark. “Hear Me” is that record today, a lush, dire call for Njomza’s love interest to leave the black hole he fell in and love her again. Awkward Get Out cross-section notwithstanding, “Hear Me” follows up where “Sad for You” left off as a strong exhibition of Njomza’s talents.
