Brooklyn’s genre-blending four-piece band ROBES – expertly comprised of Drew DeMaio (guitar/vocals), Dave Diem (bassist/vocals), Jeff Gensterblum (drums), and Peter Bartsocas (guitar/vocals) – is riding the coattails of their successful first 7″ release (Unholy Moon) while they prep their debut album for us all. Off that new album, we’ve got the premiere of their single “Honeyblood”.
Coming in with crashing cymbals from the start, you get the idea that ROBES isn’t messing around. There’s a doomsday feel to it all while we listen to the lyrics unfold, and we even get a hint of the upcoming album’s name (Indecline) woven in there. This song is uptempo, and will require a lot of dance space when played.
Indecline is out St. Patrick’s Day 2017. (That’s March 17th.) So get ready to party. And keep up with ROBES on their Bandcamp.
