The emo pioneers celebrated 30 years of Diary with incendiary show in Seattle
Sunny Day Real Estate, the beloved pioneering emo band who reunited last year after a decade-plus hiatus, returned for a hometown show in Seattle to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their seminal album Diary. The band rocked a sold-out crowd at Showbox, delivering classic hits like “Seven,” “In Circle,” “Song About an Angel,” and many more. They also sounded incredible – as though they never broke up – with tight instrumentation and telepathic onstage chemistry demonstrated by the band members.
