On Saturday July 25, OkayAfrica and the City Parks Foundation presented a day of alternative African and African Diaspora music as a part of the 30th annual Summerstage concert series. Self-taught Nigerian blues guitarist Bombino was joined by Mercury Prize winning Scottish group Young Fathers, and Oakland’s Fantastic Negrito whose impassioned set was an amazing way to start the day in Central Park.
