On Thursday, May 23rd, Red Bull Music Academy presented a show called United States of Bass, featuring artists from various cities known for their bass music styles. All of the major dance cities were represented: Detroit (DJ Assault), Miami (DJ Magic Mike, who is from Orlando), New Orleans (Big Freedia), Baltimore (Scottie B), Los Angeles (Egyptian Lover), New York (Afrika Bambaataa) and Chicago (DJ Funk, DJ Rashad & DJ Spinn). There were also special guest DJs of Drop the Lime, Salva, Branko and Krampfhaft. There were DJ sets on both floors of Santos Party House and the show featured a late night live performance by the queen diva herself, Big Freedia.

We dispatched Edwina Hay & Eric Phipps to cover the event and they turned in these photos of the long, sweaty, dance filled night at Santos Party House before the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
