Daniel Bachman, “White Oak”

Daniel Bachman, who formally used to record as Sacred Harp, is releasing two full lengths on Portland, Maine's record label One Kind Favor, both called Oh Be Joyful. This video is of Bachman playing the opening track, "White Oak" in his Polaroid-coated kitchen in Philadelphia. The track is a beautiful finger-picked guitar piece, of course reminiscent of the man Jack Rose, who is from the same town as Bachman (Fredericksburg, VA). There's not much you can say about beautiful guitar finger-picking, except that it's always good for a wind-down and that Bachman's is especially skillful and full-bodied. Looking forward to this limited edition of 500 vinyls.
