Julia Holter, one of the artists in our Best Music of 2012, premiered this video for "Marienbad" yesterday. It's an unconvential type of video (just as "Marienbad" is an unconventional type of song). The video was made by aiming three projectors – one still film, and two 8 millimeter film – at the same space on a dark wall. Then the images are projected in tandem, and the whole thing is filmed. It is the perfect accompaniment to the self-looping, never ending voice of Julia Holter.
