Based in LA and calling themselves OOFJ, the duo of Danish Jenno Bjørnkjær and South African Katherine Mills-Rymer are following up their acclaimed debut, Disco To Die Do, with a shadowy track of pure chillwave romance, “Snakehips”, along with an appropriate video counterpart. The video is composed of a clip from 1930 film Crazy Horse depicting Earl “Snakehips” Tucker performing his signature swivel-hipped snakehips dance invention (largely self-explanatory, but pay close attention to his slinky moves in the video). A rubber band of a human, Tucker probably never thought he'd have footage of himself paired with heavy synths, but hats off to the duo for their keen sense of contrast. A fall album release will follow.
