Spastic Joy, “The Mission”

Video by Movies for Ears

Clan Destine Records released a new tape by Montreal-based Spastic Joy, a duo of Menes and Rubin Vitriol that has a distinctly Young Marble Giants aesthetic going and a fun found footage collage in the video for their track "The Mission". The video, by Movies for Ears (a.k.a. Ela Orleans), is an ode to George and Mike Kuchar, a brother filmmaking duo with a long wake of b-movie/amateur nuggets. George passed away three days after completion of this here video. Coincidence?
