SWIMM, “Man’s Man”

Post Author: Meredith Schneider

Los Angeles-based duo SWIMM – comprised of the talented Chris Hess and Adam Winn – is back with their quintessential mellow funk/rock sound in their new single “Man’s Man”. Lucky for us, we’ve got the exclusive premiere of the music video right here for you.

Thankfully, they have provided the definition of the word “crumbing” for us to truly enjoy the video, which takes place in one of the scariest rooms we have ever seen. Sure, the linoleum isn’t the worst part, it’s that the guys are tied in chairs and people in hazmat suits surround them looking terrifying.

Oh. Wait. It’s a bunch of gorgeous, scantily-clad women rubbing on some of the best food we have ever seen. (Who doesn’t love a seductive woman with chocolate and pastries?)

Nope. We wouldn’t classify this music video as indecent, we’re actually incredibly entertained by it. So if you want some humor in your life, probably just play this on repeat.

The guys had quite a bit to say about the track itself:

“Man’s Man” is poking fun at a few social behaviors I find myself surrounded by living in LA. One is navigating our way through heartbreak and even overcoming the mighty ego via the wondrous and tactical ‘New Age life kit’. The second issue at hand in “Man’s Man” is the over objectification and hyper-sexualization of women on social media. If all you see all day is photo-shopped pictures of girls looking perfect then there is a part of your brain that is going to tell you “hey man! you deserve a girl that looks like that!” It is pretty gross. This has become even more relevant obviously in the last two weeks of our exemplary political race. I don’t find any way of relating to the Trumps or Billy Bush’s of the world that legitimately believe they are entitled to well… we know. Yuck yuck.

Beverly Hills EP is available now. Keep up with the guys here.
