Nearly thirty years after breaking up, Seattle-based punk rock band Young Pioneers have reunited and recorded their debut album Hi Again. Of the twelve brand new songs, the first single and video off the album is “Sick Inside”.
Young Pioneers have created a song that combines raw lyrics (“I know that you’ve been waiting; I know you really tried”) with lonely guitar chords. In the video for “Sick Inside”, the camera follows a lonely – or is it bored? – girl through a day in her life. The music is a perfect backdrop for the emptiness in her life.
