Sedona, Arizona’s psychedelic desert folk artist decker. is preparing to continue impressing listeners around the world with his 6th full-length album Snake River Blues. A man with ridiculously incredible work ethic, he has been traveling and playing 150+ shows a year, and has self-released his past five records – and upcoming release – in a short span of just 7 years. While we impatiently await September 23rd to hear the album in its entirety, we’ve got the exclusive premiere of his latest single “The Phantom”.
Sinister guitar begins the track right, and immediately allows the listener to feel an element of badassedness. (That’s a thing, honestly.) decker.’s signature, emotional-charged vocals hit with a touch of raspy darkness, as he declares, “I’m just a phantom lately, who would die for you” in the soulful, glistening way only he can. “The Phantom” is a dark love song, captivating from the first chord all the way through the twinkling end of this 6:14 track.
decker. will be doing a monthlong residency at Rockwood Music Hall starting on 9/7, continuing every Wednesday in September.
Snake River Blues is out September 23rd.
