Gary Lucas, world famous guitar impresario who discovered and worked with the likes of Jeff Buckley and Captain Beefheart, announced that he'll be releasing his Cinefantastique album through Northern Spy Records in October. The record consists of all film scores reinterpreted as finger-picked tracks, and Lucas has taken the project on the road and played it mostly improvised. Now the tracks are laid to tape and you can hear all the different versions, from a reimagining of the Casino Royale theme to Charlie Brown, all beautiful and entrancing.
