Levis, the official jeans of train-riders and stowaways, is sponsoring a public art project called Station to Station, where a train will dock (station? land?) in several cities across the US in conjunction with musicians doing specialized performances. Giorgio Moroder will perform a composition from parts built exclusively on the train, and Beck will also do an original composition at the Barstow, California stop. The train will have one specific kind of stowaway in experimental freakrock musician Ariel Pink, who will live on the train through its journey across the country. The dates for the train stops are below, as well as a trailer for the Station to Station project, helmed by Doug Aitken. (via FACT)
Get on this train, or it'll leave the station without you, followed by another train joke, and another. Train'd.
