James Prudhomme, aka Suicideyear, spends his day leisurely cruising around the city in his new video for “Remembrance”. This video reminds me a lot of Scarlet Johanson driving around Scotland in Under the Skin, except with less of the abduction and stealing men’s skin, and more laying down in front of your car with a t-shirt on your head. Yes, the two are very different, but they both display the same visceral feelings of exoticism. Suicideyear’s “Remembrance” is as mystically dreamlike as it is mysterious and haunting. Which makes us ask ourselves, why the hell is he lying face down in front of his car with a shirt over his head?
“Remembrance” is the latest track off of his new EP of the same name, which will be out September 23 via Software Recording Company. You can preorder Remembrance here.
