It took less than 24 for a DJ tags-free version of Andre 3000's “I Do” to make its circulation. The track is a soulful bounce jam unearthed from the Lime Light Exclusives mixtape which drops Thursday.

Lime Light Exclusives is not an Andre Benjamin mixtape, but a series that leaks songs from upcoming projects by the hip hop elite like Young Jeezy, Jim Jones, J. Cole and Drake. With that said, I will not be checking out the mixtape. I am impressed with the Internet's uncanny ability to make a DJ-tagged version of a song obsolete within mere minutes or hours. “I Do” did the circulation tagged, then un-tagged, in the brief time it took me to share it with a few friends.

Andre 3000 is technically not rapping, but he's also not going full-blown pop crooner on “I Do”. He's in compromise mode for us and he's fuggin' brilliant with the rhyme scheme as he swoons over his baby with lines like, “Crazy I, tell you all of this in the middle of a club / where words tend to get thrown around lightly / like, like, like love / and friend and rockstar and so-n-so's a genius / so him bow to her never her to him unless him mean it” and “so if we ever whoop de whoop / I want all that bleep de bleep.” Whoever Andre was singing this too, I would not be surprised if she did say “I do” by the end of his love manifesto, granting him permission to put a little butterfly up in her cocoon – which is not how you make butterflies.
