Kent’s psych/rock collective Tokyo Tea Room – comprised of Beth Plumb, Daniel Elliott, Ben Marshall, Sam Teather, and Graham Nunn – have been riding high off the success of their first EP Key Philosophy. Highly praised for their live performance, they have played festivals and live shows across the UK, the word of their talent spreading like wildfire. Now they’re back with a new track, titled “Worlds Apart”.
Funky, whirring instrumentals flood the speakers as soon as you press “play”. The entrancing, otherworldly vocals set in, raising the track to a level that makes you feel like you’ve departed the physical space around you. Whether this was meant to happen in conjunction with the title of the track isn’t entirely clear, but we’ll be in the corner listening to this on repeat.
Keep up with the band here.
