Joel Ford, CEO of Software Recording company and the Ford in Ford & Lopatin, also releases music as Airbird, and this positively effervescent track comes from his forthcoming Romance Layers EP. Sampling heavily from Mariah Carey through the new technology Legitmix, which using some sort of fancy technology allows artists to release music with samples without getting expensive and unwieldy sample clearances, the song propels forward on a base of whirly tweeter synths and flowing airhorns. When the sample does come in, the disco beat is laid on thickly for about three and a half minutes of free-as-Esperanto dance heaven, followed by a twitchy, extended comedown.
