It’s been a long road in a short life-span for UK-Based songwriter Charlie Straw..
For such a young artist, he can count a wealth of life skills and experience. His story ranges from recording music in a basement in Thailand, to playing 30 shows in 30 nights – All while sleeping on the sofa’s of his fans.
Beyond the crazy excursions though, there beats the heart of a true musical talent. It’s this talent that’s taken him to perform alongside the likes of Marika Hackman and James Bay in recent years. He’s also been featured by the likes of Mahogany Sessions, TMRW Magazine and The Independent.
This year, he’s took a slight diversion in his sound – Leaning towards a more indie-pop focused route. Broken Paradise is the second track from this change in direction and it’s the perfect anthem for your summer nights. On the track Charlie states
“Broken paradise is written for someone I love who isn’t well. It’s me telling them to keep battling through and that I’ll be there to help them whenever they need. I wrote it to encourage and uplift them.”
