The experimental producer’s new album arrives on April 7 via Hausu Mountain
Fire-Toolz, the experimental recording moniker of producer/composer/multi-instrumentalist Angel Marcloid, returns with the pummeling new single “The Great Allower” off forthcoming LP I am upset because I see something that is not there. That album drops on April 7 via Hausu Mountain.
“The Great Allower” hits the Fire-Toolz sweet spot with explosive aplomb – a blend of vaporous new age, slithery jazz fusion and gnarled digital hardcore, complete with Marcloid’s distorted, larynx-shattering vocal screams. The music video was directed by Fletcher Pratt, and features plenty of eye-popping, kaleidoscopic animated visuals to fuel the song’s fire.
I am upset because I see something that is not there will be the fifth Fire-Toolz album in the Hausu Mountain catalog, and follows 2021’s sprawling double album Eternal Home and 2022’s I will not use the body’s eyes today EP.
