Known for his altruistic and individual creative endeavors, it’s no surprise that Forest Blakk is bringing something totally fresh to the table with ‘Swipe Right’, a spoken-word piece reflective of society in 2018.
Forest revealed his talents to the world with Love Me, late last year. Since then, he’s gone from rave review to critical acclaim, to one-to-watch. One publication described his debut as “‘one of those songs that can be enjoyed by the toughest music critics and those who only listen to top 40 radio alike.” Known not only for his music but his visual realizations of it, the video won Best Music Video of October at the Berlin Flash Film Festival and is about to crack 1Million streams on Spotify.
Blakk’s acoustic covers have also worked up a storm, performing emotive versions of Taylor Swift, Natalie Imbruglia & more, lead to him signing with Paradigm Talent Agency last year.
The new visual is both affecting and life affirming. It’s a stunning juxtaposition of melancholy and elevation. Almost dystopian in its critique of modern culture, while also managing to encourage confidence and inspiration in his fans. Check this one out below.
