San Francisco’s indie rock project Known to Collapse – the brainchild of musician and audio engineer Kevin Lehner, now with Kabir Kumar on bass and vocals and Michael Mays on drums – is back and ready to roll with a new album in early 2017. We’ve got the exclusive premiere of the first single off of the album, a song titled “What Is Said”, right here.
A robust collection of instrumentals emanating warmth brings us into the track, shortly followed by Lehner’s ethereal voice. There are moments when the instrumentals almost twinkle, making us feel like we’re gallivanting through a bed of trees. The track rides along at mid-tempo, allowing Lehner’s voice to be showcased in a variety of beautiful ways. We feel like we are being carried away, and this song would serve as the perfect backdrop for a cross country road trip with friends.
