Dreamy R&B-tinged Kaytranada Collaborator Returns
Reva Devito returns with the visuals for her dreamy R&B single “Cali,” produced by past collaborator Young Franco. With a lush mix of neo-soul and ’90s R&B transposed into 2019, the single’s dreamy qualities are accentuated through the music video. Self-directed by Devito herself, the video sees a protagonist and companion on a serendipitously scenic escape – a care-free voyage from “sun up to sun down.”
The beautiful scenic landscape captured throughout “Cali” takes the wonder and fun-filled passion of the single into a compelling visual reality. The Portland-based singer/songwriter, who boasts a resume of features on some of the most recognisable tracks from Kaytranada and Chuck Inglish, now adds director to her CV. A true triple threat with an ear for sensual melodies, the mind and creativity for songwriting and the eye for the perfect visuals.
