But take a “big picture” break and vibe out a little bit. Detroit’s Tall Black Guy has some “Peace and Love” to offer us on his such-titled new track. The latest work from the relatively underrated beatsmith is entrancing – even with slappin’ drums at it’s back bone.
Tall Black Guy worked with UK producer Rommel David to craft the beat. There is an expert combo of serenading guitar and subtle, warm melodies at play. The song really takes off once DMV vocalist Masego offers the song’s refrain. His crooning radiates even more good vibes amidst the song’s already comforting soundbed. By the time the saxophone comes in toward the end of the track, a listener may already be knee-deep in the feels. “Peace and Love” is a single from Tall Black Guy’s Let’s Take A Trip project, his second album.
