Brooklyn’s indie rock (with a pop flare) collective Wild Arrows is unleashing a new single unto the world today, a glittery synth track titled “Dark Me”. We’ve got the exclusive premiere, which boasts a melancholic tone in the vocals and lyrics, with a gorgeous and stark contrast in the instrumentals, which make you feel like you’re in an 80’s pop dream.
“Some of the lyrics on ‘Dark Me’ come from my earliest dream memories,” the band explains. “The idea of of knowing things were about to end, that consciousness was about to end, but you had a few seconds left before to stare into oblivion. I guess I was a macabre kid… Although it’s also a little too apropos now.”
Wild Arrows will play Berlin in NYC on February 2nd, and have another show listed for March 29th at the Music Hall of Williamsburg. You can keep up with them here.
