The fall ’25 bill includes heavy-hitters like John Summit, Empire of the Sun, Eli Brown & more
Time sure does fly! Set to celebrate its 10th anniversary, CRSSD unveiled the lineup for its fall ’25 edition – taking place again at downtown’s picturesque San Diego’s Waterfront Park on September 27-28 and featuring huge names like John Summit, Empire of the Sun, Eli Brown, Boys Noize, Purple Disco Machine, and more.
Over the past 10 years, CRSSD has established itself as one of the best boutique EDM festivals in the world, and an important mainstay in the San Diego live music scene. The festival and its promoter, FNGRS CRSSD, have become important tastemakers in electronic music with a deft touch for event curation, bringing some of the world’s most beloved producers, DJs, and live acts to San Diego. The fest has also helped break smaller artists, and its role in cementing San Diego as a hub for EDM cannot be understated. If you’re like me and can remember attending the first edition of CRSSD ten years ago, it is surreal but not surprising that it’s lasted for the long haul.
And the lineup for the forthcoming fall edition is more of the same. Here, we’ll break down some of the hottest names to check out at each of CRSSD’s uniquely-curated stages.
Ocean View
The big room spectacle of the Ocean View stage tends to host the biggest names on the bill, and oftentimes ones with galvanizing live shows. Headliners include tech-house superstar John Summit and Australian synthpop vets Empire of the Sun – well known for their dazzling, immersive stage spectacle. Rounding out the bill are crossover indie names like Canadian IDM icon Caribou, English funk-soul unit Maribou State, indie sleaze up-and-comers Fcukers, and DARKSIDE – the electronic neo-psych superduo of Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington.
Palms
House music will never die, and the Palms stage tends to be the one that plays host to the most eclectic and wide-reaching subgenre in electronic music. This time around, the bill is a veritable who’s who of legends in the scene: disco-house future-revivalist Purple Disco Machine, globetrotting vets Jamie Jones b2b Adam Ten, pioneering DJ/producer Claude Von Stroke, UK house rising star Chris Stussy, Brazilian breakout Beltran, Australian progressive tastemaker Cassian, and more.
City Steps
Renowned as a sanctuary for cutting-edge, hard-hitting techno, the City Steps stage has always promoted underground club culture, and its fall lineup further highlights this. That includes the genre-fluid warehouse staple-turned-superstar Boys Noize, UK peak time techno maestro Eli Brown (who absolutely threw down in Coachella’s Yuma Tent last month), German underground industrial DJ/producer Blawan, and KETTAMA and Partiboi69’s gonzo KETBOI69. But perhaps the most intriguing names on the bill are the infamous Japanese DJ-producer ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U and German techno-punk duo Brutalismus 3000. The former dropped what’s become the year’s most popular Boiler Room set, while the latter has exploded from the DIY trenches into one of the best live electronic acts in the game. It will be interesting to see how rowdy things get at City Steps this time around.
Vibes
Meanwhile, CRSSD offers more than just great music—it creates a fully immersive experience that appeals to all the senses. Festival-goers can enjoy imaginative stage setups, taste local food and craft drinks from carefully chosen vendors, and engage in interactive activities at the CRSSD Lab, including a music-tech lounge and an on-site vinyl marketplace. Located at San Diego’s scenic Waterfront Park, CRSSD provides an inviting daytime vibe that naturally flows into its popular “CRSSD After Dark” events. These afterparties spread across various venues in the city, showcasing late-night sets and unique performances. Stay tuned for the full lineup of afterparty events as the festival draws nearer.
As for tickets, the alumni on sale begins May 27 at 12PM PT and will be available to Weekend Pass purchasers of the inaugural CRSSD Spring ’15, CRSSD Fall ’24, CRSSD Spring ’25, Proper NYE/NYD ‘24/25, and DAY.MVS with Chris Lake. You can keep tabs on ticket options HERE. Here’s to the next 10 years!
