It’s time to dig out those dusty cardboard boxes stored away in your parents’ garage. EMA has announced a call for her new project Sacred Objects through the media platform New Hive, which she has previously used to host her digital zine Back to the Void. Clarifying that “sacred is defined by you,” she’s inviting anyone to send in photos, drawings, or descriptions of objects found in their suburban/childhood homes. On July 7, EMA will give a performance at the Barbican Centre in London featuring a selection of objects rendered into 3D virtual reality. Interested parties can submit via New Hive with the tag #sacredobjects or send an email to sacred@iwannadestroy.com.
