Unsound Festival announces New York lineup

From April 2 through 6 of this year, Unsound Festival New York—the U.S. edition of Unsound Krakow—will be taking place at various venues across Manhattan and Brooklyn. The event celebrates Polish artists primarily, but the lineup is all over the map, from Spain to Norway to the UK. Last year's Unsound drew attention to Poland's vibrant underground music scene, one that's assuredly growing, and this year it returns with a vast international lineup. One commissioned work, “Damaged Particulates (undersong edition)” by Ben Vida, has been described as “a tactile audio system that quietly and directly transfers low frequencies to your body.” This and other avant-garde projects and collaborations, for which the festival has become known, should not go unattended.
