In December, Jon Dwyer told a San Francisco audience that it would be the last show Thee Oh Sees would play in a while. We lamented the band's potential breakup, forgetting that “a while” for a group as prolific as Thee Oh Sees probably wasn't going to be as long as we thought it was—it's kind of like they operate on the band equivalent of dog years. The “indefinite hiatus” barely even lasted through winter, as the group just released a new full-length album, Drop, on Record Store Day.
They're also scheduled to play some shows in May and June around California, and, just today, they announced that they'll be playing at the Northside Festival in New York's McCarren Park on Saturday, June 14. The show is free, but you'll need to RSVP, which you can do starting Friday, April 25. If you've already picked up a Northside Fest badge, though, you're good to go.
