The cutting-edge rap titan threw down a dazzling set in NYC along with openers Bruiser Wolf and Hook
This past weekend, the forward-thinking, cutting-edge rap titan Danny Brown threw down a stellar, dazzling set at New York’s Irving Plaza in support of his phenomenal latest album Quaranta. The show date fell on his 43rd birthday, and in the spirit of celebration, Brown launched into a fiery set that had his rabid audience thrashing and rapping along from start-to-finish. In addition to tracks off Quaranta, he performed “Scaring The Hoes,” the title track off his and JPEGMAFIA’s incredible collaborative LP, as well as old hits like “Dip,” “Smokin & Drinkin,” and “Really Doe.”
Earlier in the night, Danny’s fellow Bruiser Brigade member Bruiser Wolf kicked off the show at 8PM, and brought out another Bruiser in Zelooperz as the pair teamed up to perform their collab hit “2 Bad.” Later, Riverside’s Hook followed that up with a spirited set of her own, as the Inland Empire rapper encouraged fans to mosh along to her set. The energy in the room did not let up the whole night.
