"I don't know anything, but I love you" sings Angel Olsen, her voice sounding like an achingly tough and tender cross between Dusty Springfield and Bethany Cosentino in all their full-throated glory. The lyrics belong to "Forgiven/Forgotten," the lead track off her new album, Burn Your Fire For No Witness, which comes out February 18 on Jagjaguwar. A perfect New England autumn sundown light, some cleverly placed stop-motion animation, as well as Olsen in a 50s party dress lying on a green-tiled bathroom floor are just a few of the many arresting visuals crammed into the video's too-brief two minutes, courtesy of director Zia Anger. Olsen's all grown up and so is her folky rock sound. Tour dates below:
