Big Hush is releasing their newest single “Cough” with an accompanying video. Genevieve Ludwig, Owen Wuerker, Chris Taylor, and Emma Baker are the quartet from Washington, DC that have created this dreamy, indie punk music that is “Cough”. All band members write, and all band members sing, so “Cough” fills up the audio space fantastically.
Says the band:
Cough is about being caught in a rut for so long that you lose touch with yourself and grow complacent about the shape of your life. The song is a plea that you could make to a friend, or yourself, to fight the easy temptation of viewing one’s identity as reducible, or static. We’re not as hard-wired as we think; we can always try to be better.
The song has a hyper feeling to it and it is beautifully captured on film. Directed by Isabelle Platt and edited by Hana Wuerker, “Cough” pulls you in with dance scenes that tell the story that Big Hush has written. Mission accomplished.
Keep up with Big Hush here.
