Blood Ponies, "Let Me In"

“Let Me In”, the video premiere of Blood Ponies’ single from their debut EP A Desolate Place makes its’ first appearance Monday, January 16. We’ve got the exclusive.
Post-punk San Diego duo Blood Ponies (Jeffrey Cesare and Candice Renee) have created a song that lends itself to wide interpretation.  In the capable hands of directors Adam Urban and Jeremiah Wessling, the video “pays homage to Roman Polanski’s cult film Repulsion” in all its’ black and white, 60’s era glory.  The movie tells the story of a woman’s descent into madness.  “Let Me In” is a perfect springboard to the parallels that the video draws to the film – it builds from a seemingly nuanced rock song into a crescendo of lyrics and music that mirror the madness the character must be experiencing.
Blood Ponies will have a release show for the EP on January 19 at the Casbah San Diego from 8 pm – 2 am. Keep up with the band here.
