From London is the five-piece group Firestations. Taken from the new unreleased album “The Year Dot” comes the new single called “Build A Building”. The band consists of only the talented, Mike Cranny, Laura Copsey, Martin Thompson, Giles Littleford and Tom Hargreaves. All write the lyrical alternative pop songs with the combined sound from one another collectively. Firestations has completely reshaped and refined their sound into something that fits them perfectly.
Mike shares some words,
“We spent a lot of time obsessing over making it a really absorbing listen. It’s a long-term distillation of dreaming away the days on the outskirts, flickering between dead-end admin jobs, depression, lyric writing on my phone, running through local woods, recording drums in industrial units, periods of hopelessness and moments of joyful inspiration.”
“Build A Building” reminds us of a song straight out of the British Invasion. The track has a lot of character which is very important when you are trying to write a successful pop song, they have accomplished that here. Every element that has been added to this song has its own unique feel to it that distinguishes themselves from most.
