Serving as a follow-up to their 2015 LP Range Wars, New Jersey’s four piece alternative rock collective Grin & Bear – comprised of Grabbin’ Fishes (bass), Will Avon (lead guitar), Chris Calabrese (drums), and Brian Perrino (rhythm guitar, vocals) – is announcing their new EP, Everything is Gravy, set to release on October 14th. Right on the heels of that announcement, though, is perhaps the best thing we’ve seen in a moment. We’ve got the exclusive video premiere for the first single off the five track EP, aptly titled “Grin & Bear”.
Slow motion skateboarding – almost too slow, but artful in its presentation – begins the video with the lyrics “I hate this job / My friends hate me / Every day’s the same thing” as the backdrop. The song hits hard, heavy from the beginning, Perrino’s signature rough vocals serving as a blunt reminder to the reality of it all. Sometimes they land the tricks, sometimes they don’t. And that’s the beauty of it all. The video reflects the notion that real life isn’t always perfect. And we kind of love watching Brian have fun, existing in his own element.

Everything is Gravy is out October 14th via Good Friend Records. Keep up with the guys here.
