God bless New York City. In The So So Glos' latest video for "Lost Weekend", a track from their excellent third LP, Blowout, the star of the whole shebang turns out to not be any of the band members but the glorious city itself, through old snapshots and recent slow-motioned scenes. The city is celebrated and memorialized through the joyousness of the song itself, as it plays along around roof scenes, skateboarding runs, and historical moments that we'd so easily forgotten. It's a true punk tribute to the city that we all love, and who better to give it than New York romantics The So So Glos?
