Poland's Unsound Festival comes to New York this weekend, and tonight's show at Le Poisson Rouge is one of the stars of the line up. Psychedelic troubadors Sun Araw Band headline the evening for this epic 4/20 lineup. We're in heavy anticipation of RVNG Intl's new FRKWYS #9, featuring Sun Araw and the Congos from Jamaica, and it's possible that tonight's performance will feature a heavy dub influence, in honor of the holiday and the upcoming release on May 1. Pole is a German artist, imported by Unsound, who has recorded on Mute and is very dance focused. Mark McGuire, of Emeralds, will perform some of his glittery solo guitar work. The whole thing begins at 7 pm sharp and if you have some cash lying around and you're in the city you can pick up tickets here or at the door. It's a happy hour show so beer is cheap but we all know you'll have consumed today's honorary substance before you walk through the door. However, in this case, watching the show from home has it's…advantages.
