Who knew? Not me, until I read it over at Jacket Copy.
It's called Ah Pook is Here and it's a collaboration with British artist Malcolm McNeill The two created the book in the mid-70s. At the time, no one would publish it because everyone was like, “What's a graphic novel?” Technically, this one is a “word/image novel” (I like that name better) and will be released in summer 2011.
The book was previously released in text-form only, but Fantagraphics has now stepped in.
There are a couple of sweet images over at Fantagraphics, with some demons and a weird prowling alien-tiger. No confirmation on how many drug references there are.
