If you ever listen to one DJ in your life, make it Sied van Riel. Seriously. (We’re not kidding.)
We feel pretty strongly on the matter, too, considering we aren’t exactly hardcore fans of house music. But when it comes to Sied, he just has that special something. Whatever it is that makes him different, it transcends everything you thought about yourself as a music lover, and it connects. Call it emotion, call it instinct, call it what you will; we don’t really care one way or the other. All we know is that we’ve listened and it transports you.
To give you a little history, the Dutch DJ was first discovered by Tiesto (back when he was basically ruling the house music scene) and then went on to release Relism, which was met with international acclaim. The dude is constantly on tour, and when he’s not, he’s producing a bi-weekly radio show. Lucky for us, he’s still one of the best kept secrets in the music business over here in the United States.
He just released “The Reason.” It’s a three-and-a-half minute original mix featuring Jennifer Rene on vocals, and is a sneak peek of what’s to come October 17th.
