The Brinks, “Temporary Love” [Live]

Michael Brummett

In a return to a more organic sound from The Brinks, “Temporary Love” in this iteration is revisited in its acoustic beginnings. A duo formed from a simple introduction through mutual friends, the emotion and hooks found in any of their creations seem anything but luck.

While the audio version of the original “Temporary Love” has just 250,000 views on YouTube, their traction on Spotify was much different. Recently tipping over 18 million streams, the rare, cohesive talent of the duo had previously earned them backing from Pharrell Williams, and Salaam Remi (Amy Winehouse, Alicia Keys).

As a global content production studio in New York City, the Creators League is a connector between global brands and creative partners. For up-and-coming artists like The Brinks, access to the top-shelf tech inevitably present in the lounge is a big opportunity, with an even bigger audience.

Netting over 1 million active monthly listeners on Spotify, The Brinks are guiding “Temporary Love” to mainstream radio success from Sacramento to New Orleans. Impose had the chance to interview Matt Friedman and Scott Mellis this fall, which you can check out here.

Matt and Scott, match made in heaven, finally have that elusive, verified Instagram account, and push out the news you care about over their Facebook.
