Vintage-junkshop rock nerds rejoice as Hollywood’s own glam heroes Hammered Satin just released their Burger Records single “UFO” b/w “Strawberries N’ Cream”. With personnel from S’Cool Girls, Teachers Pet, etc; Hammered Satin’s new single features the classic rock idolizing group carving their deepest, loudest & most indelible groove yet. The band’s self-described spaced out glitter gum glam lives up to all the hype as the trio throws every single chord, riff & lick at their disposal directly at you the listener.

“UFO” enters the scene with a whirl of turbine winds & electric guitar powered engines that arrives to earth on their own accord. The call and response of the catchy song title features Hammered Satin hammering the conventional chronological sequences of history where the crunchiest & gnarliest chords from the slippery seventy are dusted off & shined up for a whole new audience & degree of definition. HS keeps the vibe snarling & snotty but completely crushes it like ripped velvet that will keep you curious as to the future creations from these glamorous ones. Leader Noah Wallace provided us with the following exclusive introduction to the cosmic inspirations behind their new “UFO” single:

The cosmic inspirations behind the song “UFO are loosely based on the famous Whitley Strieber abduction case. I became more fascinated with the “UFO” subject after reading his book Communion, Jim Marrs Alien Agenda, and watching many hours of witness testimony of abductees (Philip Schneider is one of my faves). My discoveries lead further down the rabbit hole to endless lectures by all the UFOlogists like Linda Moulton Howe, Richard Dolan, radio shows like “Coast to Coast” and before I knew it I really started to believe that we are not alone in this universe.

I also like to think of the song as a metaphor for a spiritual awakening kind of thing for my entire band. We are all abductees whether we like it or not. We can choose go willingly and enjoy it or fight it and experience fear and pain. Either way, we are being abducted by a UFO.
