After wrapping up a stellar year in which we shared both a CMJ stage and a morbid fascination with Ke$ha, Cloud Nothings is set to release their self-titled, debut LP on January 25, and will play a few shows to boot.
Recorded with Chester Gwazda (Dan Deacon, Future Islands) in Baltimore, the album captures the “crispness and boldness” that leader Dylan Baldi found elusive when recording in his mom's basement. Baldi still plays all of the instruments on the LP, and its first track, “Understand At All,” does justice to the band's live show: fast, precise, pop glee.
