Splintered Pony Productions and Secret Handshake Entertainment are proud to announce that Coachella will now be held every day of the calendar year. After selling out two different weekends for what USA Today called “expertly curated, sun-tinged happy smile time sounds,” organizers felt that it was time to take their concept, which Pitchfork hailed as “a violent, flash-frozen bubble of nod gaze,” to the next level.
“Something this special couldn't have happened without our fantastic new co-sponsors, Señor Frogs and Geico,” Dwayne Brock, principal at Splintered Pony said. “The people have spoken, and we're giving them what they want, which is every single alternative band in North America playing alongside one or two token hip-hop groups with the Red Hot Chili Peppers headlining.”
Even with the new name and heavy production schedule it entails, ticket prices are lower than ever before. 365-day pass holders will only be required to work a few shifts at Señor Frogs three days a week. As in previous years, Coachella365 will have a Henna Tent, a Geode Gazebo, and a CoCoWater Dentist, while the Laugh Hammock will be relocated to the facility which maintains and cleans the pneumatic tubes that will transport festivalgoers to their respective Señor Frogs locations across the globe.
Participating bands will be anounced alphabetically. You can see the first wave of confirmations below, and view the full list of artists here. Ticketholders should report to the Geico Facts Tent in Indio, California as soon as possible to pick up their Señor Frogs uniform.
