Meyhem Lauren, he of anniversaries, brunching, juicing, and hating on Pitchfork, is set to release his first official record, Silk Pyramids, on May 27. Despite a stellar string of mixtapes, including early appearances on J-Love's series, this will be Mey's first foray into the industry that has often turned a cold shoulder to the Queens native. It should help that all of Pyramids is produced Buckwild (Big Pun, Notorious B.I.G., Black Rob, etc.) and features guest appearances from fellow foodie Action Bronson, as well as AG Da Coroner, Troy Ave, RetcH, Hologram, Thirstin Howl III, and Heems.
Silk Pyramids will be available on May 27, via Thrice Great Records. Maybe then, Pitchfork will respect the fly shit.
