London-based songwriter Binky is fast cementing her place as one of the hottest new prospects on the British Isles, country music scene. The potential for greatness was realised at the tender age of 15 where Binky had been studying Music, Dance and Drama for a number of years. A big fan of a number of different genres and styles, it was country music that really caught her attention.
“The first time I sang a country song it was like putting on the most perfect pair of shoes, I haven’t looked back since”.
Her first break was being invited on Sky TV’s “The Smith & Rogers Country Show” as a guest. From there, she went on to write her first studio album, working with some of the best songwriters out there including original Rat Pack member Buddy Greco, as well as Blue Mink’s Madeline Bell.
“I grabbed the opportunities with both hands and wasn’t letting go, my journey was becoming better than I had ever imagined and I wasn’t stopping there.”
After a string of successful singles, her new track Don’t Let Go, marks a departure from her typical sound. Working her magic on a piano-led ballad, it shows a different side to the songwriters catalogue of skills.
