“Silent Cuts” is a true slow burner. Like a painfully teased torture, it begins at a steady, crisp pace and with such a lulled digital sound that it could carry on that way for the forseeable future. If you stay tuned, however, it begins to build beyond what its initial entry suggests, adding on layers of harsh electronics, digitized harmonies, and a stomping, sliced beat that pressure-builds the track into something bigger, much more menacing, and sinister. There is a fierceness within the track so pressurized, it's a wonder it doesn't explode.
This comes from Biosexual's The Window Wants The Bedroom, out on Debacle Records on October 29.
