When he was younger, Thurston Moore wanted to channel 80s hardcore into Sonic Youth's Glenn Branca-isms. Here's a good take on what this would have meant if they'd thrown the detuned guitars out the windows entirely, right down to the girl-guy shout choruses.
But to back up, I don't think any of the Bitches in this London-based trio are trying to put an academic point on their exclamation riots. This is catchy, party noise pop, period.
