Lovely SoCal garage pop duo Bleached has shared a track from their new album, Ride Your Heart, which is due out on April 2 through Dead Oceans. The track is titled “Dead in Your Head,” and with the mildly monotone ring of the Clavin sisters' vocals throwing the line “All the things / all the things / dead in your head” around, the result is a feeling of satisfied, pleasant catatonia. Like a lobotomy induced by eating too much sugar (if that's actually a real possibility). The track elevates to a jangly, tambourine-filled exit, and a very soft glockenspiel beats on in the background. “Dead in Your Head” is a polished, extended version of former Bleached songs, and it's gearing us up quite nicely for what we're certain is to be a highly-rotated record.
The band is on tour all over the US with Hunters and Ex-Cops. Catch them at these tour dates, check out the new song below, and preorder Ride Your Heart here.
